But the bar is SO much more to me than just a place to drink. 

And perhaps for this reason, I’ve managed to become part of the close-knit and beautiful bar community in Italy (and also internationally) in the most innocent and organic way possible.

Former NY ad exec turned expat, I left everything I had behind to start a new life here in Italy in 2016. And that's when it all started...literally the first night I moved to my new home of Rome when I discovered my home-away-from-home in the form of a bar.

My genuine love and passion for the Italian bars & the bartender community grew from that moment on...

In my nearly decade of experience in several full-service advertising agencies in New York City, I had several prominent brands in the spirits and hospitality: the historic Grand Central Oyster Bar Restaurant, The iconic New Yorker Hotel, the Italian Trade Commission, Bluefly.com, General Cigar and Silk Vodka. But perhaps the biggest highlight of my entire career was when I helped to launch a new white spirit brand from Peru called Pisco Portón into the U.S. Market. Where my efforts contributed to exceeding sales goals in key markets and one campaign in particular that generated impressions/responses surpassing liquor norms by +30x averages. Now known as Caravedo Pisco, I helped develop everything from the brand guidelines, strategy, the design for the bottle and even some signature cocktails! Multi-media campaigns from conception to completion on the local and national level including print, tv, radio, email, mobile, on-site materials, internal collateral & CRM communications, and social media. I developed not only the strategy and media plans but also the brand positioning defining the creative direction for said campaigns as well as the brand marketer's communications and key talking points to their on and off-premise leads. I even compiled a list of bars in NYC to call on and not only arranging the meetings but leading them, during which we did a mini-masterclasses with the product followed by cocktail demo and sometimes concluding with the bartender feeling so inspired by the product, inventing their own signature cocktails and putting it on the menu. The pinnacle for me however, was when I was personally requested to assist alongside of Pisco Porton's PR agency with their first-ever Tales of the Cocktail Sponsored Event…which I helped to create and was sent to be there in person in order to execute!
